Brief Timeline
PowerNaP studies phosphorus’s potential in solid state sodium batteries with support from Breakthrough Energy’s Explorers program. Halfway through the program, PowerNaP CTO and co-founder Benjamin Rupert tests our engineered phosphorus material with a liquid electrolyte and discovers: it works.
With continued support from Breakthrough Energy, PowerNaP is building out its lab in San Leandro, California. Here, we’ll continue to optimize our material and processes for performance and mass-manufacturability.
